I was intrigued by the character of Brad, he is a man who found G-D. But in his own way through insanity. This film, this man Brad is based on a real man. One needs to see the dvd extra features and listen to the commentary by Herzog.
Please do not give up on this film or not watch it because of the meter being less than promising.
