Review of Mystic River (2003) by Venkatesh K — 12 May 2018
It felt like Dave's story about mugger has been artificially woven in the plot to make it feel mysterious. Its obvious he didn't kill Kate by his casual cool behavior. A killer wouldn't act so cool with cops, around father and his crazy friends.
The thing I don't understand is that why Dave (being so smart in interrogation room) doesn't seem to be understanding what is at stake even at the bar when he is about to be killed. Did he really think by lying about killing would set him free?.
And at the end how come Sean doesn't do anything about a mass murderer?
