Review of Neighbors (2014) by Phillip D — 10 Aug 2016
I am not sure if it was another boring performance by a waning Rogen, the laughably forced accent by Byrne(which despite her Australian heritage did not sound realistic in the slightest) or the predictable fair of drugs and raunchiness but Neighbors just didn't do it for me.
Although it is by far the funniest comedy of the last 5-7 years of Rogen's career, that isn't saying much. The movie meandered into boredom too often and about halfway through it appeared to me like the movie had officially played all its cards.
Overall Neighbors isn't overly bad, its just not overly funny either. Best left to late night pirating.
