Review of Neighbors (2014) by John C — 26 Apr 2015
Probably one of, if not, the best comedy of 2014! This is a laugh out loud movie from start to finish. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne are funny as hell and surprisingly Zac Efron was great too! Lots of cameos in this movie but I'm not going to get into that too much. The jokes were fresh to the exception with some of the generic vulgar jokes that comedies have all the time. I've watched this movie more than 5 times and laugh every time. I adore this movie. I do think it played on shock value a little bit, one scene in particular that I felt was very gratutious and didn't need to be in the movie. This is a very crude and vulgar movie and I'm ok with that as long as it's funny but that scene with Rose Byrne was just unfunny and played on just for shock value. Other than that scene, this is a near perfect movie. Neighbors is a must see in theaters!
