I absolutely loved this movie. As a "film" it is very enjoyable. It does feel a little rushed, and another 20 mins would have done the film a world of good, but considering this movie was apparently resurrected from the Disney graveyard, it's hard to complain.

So many people will talk about the "important message" of the movie, which is increadibly important and more or less true. But don't be fooled thinking this movie is simply about "value messaging". The movie is super fun, and my daughter and I enjoyed it immensely. I will also so say this is the first animated movie I have watched that treated a gay character/couple like a straight character or couple. There is absolutely nothing heavy handed or self-aware. Just two completely normal people doing completely normal things. Which is the way it should be.
