Some fun dialogue, good voice acting, but utterly forgettable. It’s such a pity because we need more YA movies with diversity. Plot points all felt rushed and utterly ridiculous. My hypothesis is this movie got pitched with a script completely different to what was finally created.
It feels like a Frankenstein monster, too many cooks, an abomination of too many opinions by “editors” and producers with no writing ability trying to appeal to every demographic. What a waste of talent, money and my time.
