Review of Nixon (1995) by Jason M — 13 Jun 2015
When Oliver Stone succeeds, there are few directors who can compare with his style: such is the case with Nixon. This massive, labaryhtian epic covers the life and presidency of one of our most complex leaders.
It features great use of both historical and non historical footage and I often forget I'm watching Anthony Hopkins and think I'm actually seeing Nixon himself. Joan Allen gives a great supporting role as the conflicted Mrs.
Nixon and James Woods and Ed Harris help round out this heavy, dimly lit masterpiece.
