It's a solid 4 star movie but I gave it 5 to help counter the haters. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really liked this movie. A perfect popcorn-action movie with fingernail-digging intensity.
Owen Wilson and Lake Bell have solid performances, and Pierce Brosnan was epic, 80's Brosnan! This is very good movie making - all the critic one-stars come from butt-hurt critics that demand political correctness in all movies.
It's a story, its pretend, get over yourselves and enjoy a solid action movie. The other criticism is for lack of bla-bla exposition about the uprising... who cares? Americans came to town and the populace is pissed.
.. uprising explained, on to the show! Great action, suspense, and the opportunity to wonder how far you'd go to protect your family?
