Review of Nope (2022) by Bandicoot89 — 09 Aug 2022
This movie is too long and the first half is boring and frustrating. But, after the first hour, we actually get to see the alien creature more and more and it looks pretty cool. The other characters in the movie are generally annoying, boring, or frustrating.
However, underneath all of that there is a smart story being told, themes about the first thing ever recorded on video relating to how the characters want to capture the Nope on video. The second half of the movie makes up for the shortcomings of the first and the ending is so good it redeems the movie.
