Clearly this film was made with love towards Spielberg with plenty of nods towards jaws but with some great hints of otherworldly b movie material - it's a fun if poorly paced watch. There are multiple storylines they are opened up but not fully explored and even a quote from the Bible at the beginning, it just felt pretentious at times.
It's a shame Peele can't seem to focus on telling a coherent story. However the cast and direction failed to excite beyond the average needle mark with the ultimately mediocre screenplay and poor pacing issues.
