When creating a list of films whose remakes are superior to, or just as good as it's predecessors, the Herzog/Kinski collaboration on Nosferatu would undoubtedly be toward the top. Herzog captured the eerie setting and time period perfectly, while Kinski does what he does best, becomes the character and makes you forget he's acting.
This film often gets overlooked by many people, and I feel it's slightly under appreciated. I consider it to be one of Herzog's best...
