Review of Notting Hill (1999) by David L — 20 Nov 2017
It's not often perfection comes along but I just can't find fault in this at all, despite having watched it several times. The captivating concept of living life having had a chance encounter with a Hollywood megastar is genius, and makes one wonder just how surreal it could be.
Is it possible that this fantasy story could ever come true of one of us in our lifetimes? Is our Mr or Mrs perfect actually an A-Lister? It is cast wonderfully using Hugh Grants humour to make us chuckle every minute, backed up by a typically British band of acting veterans, and a well chosen Soundtrack.
Not to put too finer point on it, but this truly is a masterpiece that will stand the test of time.
