Not a bad flick altogether, but there are patches of blandness... and obviously it gets nowhere near the talent of hitchcock but I will be keeping an eye out for films directed by edward dmytryk from now on, just out of curiosity.
it seemed to be lacking emotion in the department of sympathising with the murderer and also lacked in the sense that the detective was pretty boring, dull and lacklustre.
