I don’t care if this is faithful to the source material or not, this story is garbage written by a privileged piece of California **** meant to portray poor “fly-over” Americans as romanticized simpletons.
At least we can all rest well knowing this “progressive” **** is long dead and can’t spread his California propaganda anymore. Rest in piss, Steinbeck. I’m ashamed that you are German.
