Review of Office Space (1992) by Shawn D — 18 Jan 2019
I wasn't the biggest fan of Mike Judge but after seeing Office Space I took a 180. Every character in this comedy is fleshed out to the point that every nuance it noticeable. Ron Livingston is a man who hates his life and work.
So he does what every person should do...he goes to a hypnotist to numb his daily pain. When the hypnotist dies he remains in a numb state and ignores every problem in the world. He ignores his boss, his problems and his worries and from that he gets the girl of his dreams and a promotion.
The hilarity ensues and explores the grind of having a nowhere job with a nowhere attitude. It's great fun and has little flaws. I doubt Judge can ever top this one but here's hoping some day he does.
