Review of Okja (2017) by Cameron C — 15 Jul 2017
I really enjoyed the first one third of the movie. The relationship between the little girl and Okja was wonderfully portrayed. The cinematography was beautiful. Once Gyllenhall and others entered, it started to go downhill, although I still enjoyed the search for Okja and the chase in NYC.
Otherwise great actors disappointed, and the corporate parts, culminating in the strange, disjointed meat factory scenes were just that. Was so happy to finally get back to Korea and the happy ending.
