Review of Old (2021) by Richardsayre — 30 Sep 2021
OLD is classic M. Night - a somewhat messy, wrought thriller, with an absolute balls to the wall momentum for the first hour or so. It handles some heady themes of aging and family, but ultimately plays the visuals up for the viserally disturbing over anything else.
It's a terrifying premise with some solid acting all around while not being quite as good as some of his better work. Middle tier Shyamalan is still damn good though and entertaining as hell.
