Review of Old (2021) by Wanesta — 21 May 2022
What a mess.There is absolutely no logic the deeper we progress onto the movie, the storyline is messy, the actors are terrible and, worst of all, the dialogue is horrendous. The only positive thing that can be said of the movie is the location with a few beautiful shots of the beach and the set.
Yet, the pointless and shameless stereotypes portrayed in this meh on paper production is derailing all the little appreciation we could have from that. Although I enjoy **** horror-thriller movies for how bad they can be (and a few actually become good), I fear there’s nothing of that sort with “Old”, Shyamalan’s 14th movie that hopefully can be his last.
