I'll be the first to admit, this was my fault. We've been warned, for generations now, about the deleterious effects this travesty can have on a young dog's mind. But NOOOoooo... I had to go sneak a peek to see what all the fuss was about.

Let me put it this way: Remember the wolf mass slaughter in "Le Pacte des Loups?" Remember how bad that made you feel? That was NOTHING! As the saying goes, of course, that's the difference between statistics and tragedy -- and "Old Yeller" is a gut-wrenching tragedy of the most appalling order.

If your humans happen to have this nasty little bombshell in a DVD collection, my best advice is to chew it up into tiny little pieces. Take your licks, but your life will be better for it. Avoid this one at all costs!
