Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Lindsey L — 06 Nov 2012
I had to watch this in Intro to Film. I would say that I am a true connoisseur of film, watching anything and everything I can get my hands on. I loved City Lights and The General from the silent era. I even got a little enjoyment from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, despite my seething hatred of westerns. But this film and ONE other (Rocky), caused me such great boredom and annoyance that I did not even finish it.
I'd rather watch Human Centipede on repeat for the rest of my life than be subjected to this dull, awkward mess that gets touted as a great performance by Marlon Brando and one of the best American films ever made.
