On the plus side I loved the songs, and the idea, and the sound of this movie. But... it was way too slow, and I know I am a soppy romantic but I just found it too sad to cope with. A bit like Lost In Translation but in Dublin and set to music.
Incorporates everything I hate about Brief Encounter, Lost in Translation et al. The only reaffirmation it gave me was life is shit and even if you put that to the best songs ever (not quite) it still leaves you on a downer.
