Review of Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) by Joecool — 31 Aug 2019
Tarantino's 9th movie barely has a plot, no climax, no answer to anything, no real story, nothing really. The lead actors perform admirably. There are some good moments, especially near the end and it's not gory like most Tarantino flicks and I'm taking that as a plus.
Still, none of that makes this a good movie. It's pretty good, but mostly boring and the only real plus is seeing Leonardo and Brad in action. Without them this would have been a very subpar movie for Tarantino. Nowhere near as good as Inglorious basterds, Django unchained, Reservoir dogs or Pulp fiction.
