Review of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) by John B — 28 Apr 2013
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is amazing without a doubt. This is one of Jack Nicholson's finest performances. The entire cast is likable for the most part. What I mean by that is that you really love the characters that you are supposed to love, and hate the ones you are supposed to hate.
Jack Nicholson is the good guy and he is awesome. On the other side you have Nurse Ratchet and you will just absolutely hate her. The first hour of this movie is better than the second if I were to compare the two.
That is the minor gripe that I have with this movie is that the second half is a little bit overly dramatic and dark with somethings happening at the end that I genuinely did not see coming. I just personally found the first part to be more funny.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is charming and different from most movies that you will find in cinema today.
