Review of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) by Tanner W — 22 May 2018
I would give "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", produced in 1975, a 3.8 out of 5 stars because I enjoyed watching the movie. I think that each of the characters/ actors did a phenomenal job on acting their part to make the movie great.
I believe that there could not be better actors for the movie. I liked how the Big Nurse acted calm and collected during the movie even when she was upset, and McMurphy was another one of my favorite characters, he always made me laugh during the movie and was a funny character in general.
The director, Milos Forman did a great job on directing the movie because each of the characters were in the right place, the scene was set well, and each part made sense. However, I did not like how the movie did not follow the book, written by Ken Kesey.
The movie still obtained the main concept and the same ideas about the characters on the ward; however, there are critical parts in the book that did not occur in the movie, as I hoped to. I feel like the movie would've been even better if it followed the book.
Overall, I would say that "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is a good movie.
