I dunno why I watched this except out of a less than generous desire to gloat over the critical tide turning on Refn. Still, at least Drive was numbingly pleasant, in a music video kind of way. Only God Forgives is borderline unwatchable with how boring all the slow motion and the warmed over Freudian issues and the fetishization of Thai kitsch (and Ryan Gosling's placid face).
