Review of Operation: Endgame (2010) by Michael C — 08 Aug 2010
It seemed like a squandering of talent- several very good comedians put into a unfortunately wrongful context of a half-funny slasher film reminiscent of-but less funny than-the video game 'major havoc'-- ie: time's running out on the bomb, everyone get the hell out of the building. The end. And there's Ellen Barkin, older now, but still super fine, only helped by guns and stilleto heels.
At the beginning of the film it seemed Cordry was stealing the show with his quick wit, which disintegrated into a begrudging marathon of 'eating hearts' and 'eating your soul', and the moment the lead actor playing 'the fool' delivered his weak ass, poorly delivered dialogue with a slight hint of an annoying British accent, I knew this was not going to be a less than b movie.
Oh and there was Zach Galifianakis, misfired briefly in the mix.
