Review of Ophelia (2019) by James M — 05 Nov 2018

I went to see Ophelia this evening as part of the British Film Festival in Australia. The large audience loved the film and strong applause accompanied the credits at the conclusion. The movie is beautiful in so many ways and captures the attention of the viewer.

This is a must see movie with a star-studded cast. The story, although well known from Shakespeare's Hamlet, brings alive the ancient but always contemporary tension between love, power and vengeance.

Although tragic, the viewer will walk away feeling satisfied with this movie.
