Review of Oppenheimer (2023) by Eviltoastsa — 21 Aug 2023
It's a good solid nolan film, but it kinda lacks a certain punch or edge. The actual bomb test was very underwhelming compared to the real trinity test footage which I guess is a bit unfair but nothing stopped Nolan to just use the actual test footage.
It just fundamentally lacks a narrative or story element that would propel it to a level were the viewer would actually feel or care about the protagonist or the story.
