Review of Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018) by Steve L — 27 Mar 2018
The movie itself isn't bad, but like Transformers, I don't understand why must they introduce all the kids actor? The kids' character added too much unnecessary conversation that it became annoying at times. The first movie doesn't have any kids characters (except for flashback of Mako growing up) and that was great. Perhaps they are trying to target a younger demographics, but please don't make this a kids movie.
It would have been 5 stars if they didn't have a kid as a main character and just keep it to a serious robot movie. The robots are cool, and CGI is amazing. Worth watching for the robots.
