I'm not a huge fan of this genre in the first place, but like many others I was bored. I also thought it predictable, and this without having much base in scary movies. I would have left if I could.
My girlfriend on the other hand loved it. Maybe it was the depiction of an unsympathetic macho jerk that she liked.
