Review of Paul Williams Still Alive (2011) by Hardy C — 08 May 2013
If you were alive in the 70s, you could not turn on the TV without hearing a Paul Williams song or seeing Paul Williams doing a guest gig on a variety, comedy or dramatic show. The guy was the very definition of "ubiquitous.
" He was incredibly talented, hung out with the megarich and megafamous, and thus became so himself. And then, in the 80s, he vanished. Gone. Invisible. Unheard of. Did he die? Did he become a Tibetan monk? What the bleep happened to him? Mr Kessler's charming film happily tells us Mr Williams' fate.
