Penguins is funny and full of brightly colored animation, but that doesn't really save it from being a little slow and uninteresting. The movie has many good parts but just not enough to make it a great movie.
Unlike the Madagascar movies, it's just not that fresh, clever, and good enough to get through without wanting to doze off. The animation is really good and can keep children entertained for about an hour but not enough to keep the whole family entertained.
Overall this is just an ok movie. It's no where near as good as the Madagascar movies but that doesn't mean there is nothing to enjoy in this movie. B-.
