Review of Peter Pan & Wendy (2023) by Madsgismerica — 15 May 2023

This is a total disaster from start to finish.

My problem with it is mostly that Neverland looks like a boring Scottish island. Except for the island being totally green on the surface, the rest is filmed in "dark and grey" colors. Neverland is supposed to be a fantastical island with different types of locations. A jungle, "the plains" where the Indians reside, a swamp where the Crocodiles live and more. It's supposed to be colorful and looking like a place you would wanna visit. Google "Green Scottish islands" and there you have this Neverland. Utterly boring. Looks cold and windy. And then we come to the "woke" part. I am not racist, but I am tired of changing the original work. Here we have 2 girls in "The lost boys", Peter Pan is now Indish looking, and Tinker-Bell is black. And Tiger Lily is barely part of the movie. The only thing the film has going for it is Jude Law. And its sad that when he said yes to something on that on paper could be very good, he ends up being part of this disaster.
