Review of Peter Rabbit (2018) by Duncan P — 01 Jun 2018
It loses a lot of the more gentle whimsy of the English source material, in favour of American animation tropes (most egregiously, bloody awful, totally unrelated pop music as background music instead of scoring some scenes), but it's a lot more charming, clever, fun and faithful to the spirit of Potter's work than I had been expecting, actually, so kudos to the makers for avoiding the usual pitfalls and generally horrific quality of these "CG characters in live action settings" movies.
