Review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) by Mark F — 19 Oct 2017
I loved the first PotC but have found the sequels an increasing struggle to watch. To the point I wasn't really looking forward to this. However, I'd say it's probably the best of the sequels. That doesn't mean it's great or even very good, but it's watchable.
I was fascinated with the way they had Bardem's hair moving like he was underwater, it brought a whole air of otherworldliness to his character. The story is kind of reminiscent of the first. There's a nice little tie up with some old characters at the end. A loose end that annoyed me tremendously about one of the earlier instalments.
It's not bad.
