Review of Planet 51 (2009) by Mohammed A — 19 Sep 2016
Planet 51 boasts a talented voice cast, impressive (albeit not Pixar-esque) animation and an interesting premise centering on what would happen if humans were considered aliens on a planet inhabited by species exactly like them as well as a few chuckles.
However, the film's unoriginal plot and over-reliance on pop-culture references and suggestive jokes to get its laughs leave the film mostly forgettable.
