This movie is one of the best work of Mani Ratnam. Even though the climax didn't make much of an impact the rest of the movie is beautifully shot and staged. AR Rahman's brilliant work with the score took the beautifully shot scenes to a whole new dimension.
The sequence between Nandhini and Aditha Karikalan was one of the most beautifully shot scene in Indian cinema. Apart from that Mani Ratnam brought the pure form of love between Nandhini and Aditha Karikalan through beautiful shots and the immense coloring in the opening shot of this movie.
Aishwarya Rai's acting needs a big shoutout.
