Review of Prey (2021) by Jluis_001 — 16 Sep 2021
This type of film shamelessly mocks the viewer, because it's more than clear that the creators know in advance what they're doing with their story, and continue to believe when assembling it, that their poor tension built from having their characters running and escaping over and over again without sense, knowing that most of them will die, will be enough to justify what they're doing, when in reality the whole thing is just completely boring.
The plot is basically that. Hide, then run away and finally die.
It's evident that the script did not give for more and the film tries to fill in gaps with totally useless flashbacks, and ends abruptly with nothing resolved when there's obviously no other place to move forwards.
