Apparently any action film with a female lead is ‘woke’, judging by certain comments here. I imagine Aliens and Terminator would also be labelled as such, if released today. Well, Prey ain’t woke, and the lead isn’t a Mary Sue type in the slightest.
No, what we have here is a throughly entertaining film, with a believable and likeable lead character and some fantastic set pieces. The trailer may have been underwhelming. Thankfully the film is anything but, and the best Predator film since the 1st.
