Review of Prick Up Your Ears (1987) by Seth R — 20 Dec 2009
This certainly made me want to learn more about playwright Joe Orton. One crucial flaw is the film gives us no clue as to the form or content of his plays, particularly "Loot," the success of which in the movie plays such a key plot role while remaining a cipher.
But Gary Oldman and Alfred Molina are terrific, and even Vanessa Redgrave is more than tolerable in this entertaining biopic.
