Review of Primary Colors (1998) by Filipe C — 19 May 2018
I never expected to like this as much as I did. But then again, it's Nichols directing a May script, which is usually a recipe for success. Her script is brilliantly written, equal parts funny and poignant.
His directing is masterful. That tracking shot inspired by Ed Hopper's 'Nighthawks' is surprisingly effective and boils down what this film is all about: connecting with the people by all means necessary.
