Review of Prospero's Books (1991) by Paul J — 11 Aug 2008
Although I love Shakespeare's The Tempest, Greenaway's adaptaption doesn't fully do it justice. However, the images are absolutely stunning. Perhaps, Greenaway is working on a entirely different plain than most film-viewers expectations.
This was the last collaboration between Greenaway and Nyman. A sad but outstanding conclusion to one of the greatest director/composer communions in film history.
