Re review: Rambo first blood part 2 is one of those misunderstood movies that people hate because it's not like the original. While first blood was purely anti-war and shows what it can do to people, first blood part 2 is mistaken for a pro war movie.
those who say that are wrong this movie is actually neither pro war or anti war, it's anti establishment because in the last moments of the film Rambo says that all he wants is for his country to love him.
this isn't pro war because of all he went through to save POW's and while the PTSD part of the character is gone (therapy maybe) the villains of the film (other than podovsky) are US Government officials who want the POW's to stay behind and die to save money.
The movie is all action and shooting but in the end it's not saying "war is fun" it's saying "the government doesn't care about those who put their lives on the line," and I give the movie props for that.
