Review of Rampage (2018) by Dann M — 12 Dec 2018
The Rock teams up with a King Kong wannabe to battle monsters in Rampage. When a genetic experiment goes wrong a gorilla, a wolf, and an alligator have their DNA radically transformed, turning them into giant, hyper-aggressive monsters that leave a wake of destruction wherever they go.
Dwayne Johnson does his usual thing and brings a fun, charismatic energy to the film. However, the script is garbage and doesn't make a bit of sense (which is typical of video game movies). Yet the special effects are amazing, making for some exciting fight scenes and incredible disaster porn.
A big, dumb action film, Rampage is entertaining and lives up to its name.
