Review of Rampage (2018) by Jestertrt — 29 Jan 2020
I was a huge fan of the game way back in the day. So this movie was a bit of nostalgia alone, having George, Lizzie and Ralph up on screen. And just getting to hear Ralph called out by name was a little fan fair.
I liked the direction the movie went. For an overgrown monster film, you can't expect too much from the story. So I was pleased with where it went, and how it was done. And Jeffrey Dean Morgan nailed his role, as always. One thing I didn't like was all of the huge gunnery and missiles didn't work on the beast, which makes sense. But then a pokey stick is the way to take them out. If a missile doesn't break their skin, a little metal rod won't break skin.
But overall the movie was a lot of fun. And I really enjoyed it. I'd like to see George return in a second one to take on Ruby and Boris.
