Review of Raw (2016) by Mohammadhoseinj — 16 Jul 2021
Disgusting; absolutely, utterly disgusting.
The problems of Raw are not just its unnecessary scenes and overly complicated moments with no service to the main story. The problem is not even how stupid this film is. It's just the fact that Raw (Grave) thinks of itself as the most important film ever made and I'm sure that most of the people who says "wow, I can't describe it but the film is so artistic and bold" don't know what the hell it's all about. At some minutes, It's as **** up and boring as "don't be vegetarian so you don't become a freaking cannibal". Yeah, I know how stupid and **** that sounds and the film is 100% even more childish than that. Although as I said, It really tries to look like the most serious film ever made. Even at its best moments, Raw is about how dangerous an idea can be (acting like a virus in a clean mind environment) but misses the opportunity to expand on that.
Long story short, don't watch it and don't care about the people who want to tell how deep it is. They did not understand that much from it as well:) God, I hate being the hater of a movie. But sometimes, It's really a necessity.
