Review of Ready Player One (2018) by Andrew R — 20 Apr 2018

I waited five years for this movie and it did not disappoint one bit! While the movie strays far from the book, only keeping the general premise and its characters, it still captures the essence and nostalgia of the book to perfection.

In fact, as someone who read the book (twice), I actually rather liked that it changed things up, as it gave me some new things to enjoy, and most of the changes made sense in its move from book to film.

Unsurprisingly, it was also a visual treat, truly immersing you in the world of the Oasis, with a nice mix of old and modern. While this may change when Infinity War comes out, so far this is the Action Movie of the Year!
