Review of Ready Player One (2018) by John M — 19 Apr 2018

I read the book awhile ago and didn't have too high expectations about how faithful they would stay to the book. I went in there expecting to be unable to suppress the "that wasn't in the book" thoughts, but this movie was so fast paced and filled with nostalgia and fun that those thoughts never entered my mind until long after the movie.

I mean really if they had stuck with the book and had the hero play a game of joust over and over or faithfully re-enact scenes from War Games, while great to read, it wouldn't translate well to the screen.

I have seen it 4 times now and do plan on going again.
