Review of Ready Player One (2018) by Dan G — 06 Apr 2018

When I was going into the theatre to see ready player one I was filled with the excitement of seeing Steven Spielberg return back to his roots to make a popcorn movie. When I left the theatre I was pleased with the movie despite its shoddy character development and sometimes cringeworthy one liners like; "a fanboy always knows a hater" this is because it was always apparent to me that the movie was mainly for a 'fun time' and didn't set out to ask the big questions like minority report.

Overall I'd say that ready player one was a good time but not for everyone.
