By all reasonable expectations, this movie really shouldn't have worked. How do you extend Regular Show's brilliant but brief episodes of insanity to a feature format? Is it even possible? Yes, and the results are genius.
The movie is actually kind of epic, and even emotional at times, while maintaining their unique brand of nonsensical humor. The time travel plot is a lot of fun, every character gets a chance to shine, and while it still uses Regular Show's minimalist art style it's gorgeous to look at nonetheless.
It's about as good as a Regular Show movie could be, and by this I of course mean it is brilliant.
